Grandpa Tony Day
This donation of essential items like mens', womens' and childrens' clothing, boots, shampoo, vitamins and other toiletries to benefit Riga Luther Church is in remembrance of our Grandpa Tony. We would like to remember and honor our grandpa for the positive impact and influence he left on our lives. Grandpa Tony taught us the meaning of living on a shoestring budget and in honor of him, we hope to provide basic necessities to the people of the country in which he was born.
Our grandfather, Anton Salaks, was born in Aluksne, Latvia. His family immigrated to the USA in 1950 and settled in Wisconsin. A life time resident, served in the USA Air Force, raised five children and has five grandchildren. As a struggling country, our grandfather was aware of the need for giving humanitarian aid to Latvia. In honoring his memory, we are donating clothing and personal items to the Riga Luther Church, Riga, Latvia. They will distribute and provide a need for those, who cannot afford to buy.
World Teacher Day
We chose Julian Thomas Elementary school because Mr. Beekman was a former teacher for Haley and Jordan. We enjoyed having him so much because he was so personable and he encouraged us to do our best. Since we enjoyed him so much, he inspired us to give back and we wanted to give back specifically to Julian Thomas Elementary where he is now principal. We were able to donate over $2000 worth of school supplies to improve the students educational experience.
Coat Drive!
We were able to give 20 coats to children this winter
Pajamas and other necessities provided for women and children.
The Milwaukee Joy House Rescue Mission we were able to provide pajamas and other necessities for women and children before the holiday.
